#4 Otter Crescent | Weyakwin Lake

This cabin was built in mid 1980’s and measures at approximately 800 square feet. It is situated on an owned lot, with many mature trees in a lovely private surrounding. Cabin interior features an open concept layout, vaulted ceilings with cedar finishing throughout. Hardwood floors in dining area, living area and bedrooms, with newly installed vinyl plank in kitchen and tile flooring in the bathroom.

Front of cabin has a welcoming 8ft x 22ft, newly extended, fully covered cedar deck with raised vaulted open roof line, perfect for entertaining or relaxing. Cabin is East facing. Deck overlooks fully developed front yard, work completed last year, with a large, raised fire pit area, finished with crushed rock and sunken large fire pit. The cabin shingles are about 7 years old.

There is a large woodshed and smaller tool shed located next to the cabin. There is no garage currently on the lot; plenty of space to add one in future.

Cabin has 2 bedrooms, 10ft x 10ft (+ closet), 10ft x 8ft (+ closet).

Bathroom includes standing shower, new toilet, and sink.

Kitchen has range oven, newer apartment sized fridge, and dual sink (no dishwasher). There is a second full sized fridge located in the porch.

The cabin has newer, full sized front load washer and dryer located in the second bedroom.

The cabin’s water comes from an on-site well. The lines going into the well and from the well to the cabin have heat cord on them, so they don’t freeze in the winter. The cabin also has a water softener, so all the well water runs through that first. The well water is great for showering and dishes, etc. Cabin also has a new 4 stage RO system in kitchen so that the water is drinkable as well.

There is an in-ground septic tank located behind the cabin. The exact size is unknown but estimated to be a 1000-gallon tank for a cabin this size. There is a pump truck that runs regularly at the lake, they usually come once a week, and you need to book a couple days in advance.

The cabin furnace is brand new, installed October of 2023. It ran all winter without issue. The system runs on natural gas. The unit is also an air conditioner, so the cabin has both heating and AC.

The cabin does not have a dock associated with it. For those interested, there is an application process through SERM to get on a waitlist for a dock space. SERM regularly removes and re-assigns abandoned docks to people waiting on the application list. We can provide further information on this process if needed.

Please review the attached a map so you can see where it is located with regards to the public beach, shoreline and boat launch. It is about a 2 minute drive to the main boat launch and a 3 minute drive to the beach. Please note that the beach and campgrounds are privately managed, and therefore for everyone’s safety they do not allow unlicensed vehicles (quads) to travel this road.

Weyakwin Lake was established as a resort in 1976. It boasts great Walleye and Pike fishing, during both summer and winter seasons. It is a unique and very friendly community of approximately 200 cabins. Nearly 20 of these properties are full time residents, and others are vacationers. Throughout the year there are many social activities organized by the residents and summer visitors. You will find many families who are original to the resort, who continue to return to Weyakwin year after year, and many who are new and have been welcomed to the area. This lake is not expecting any further development therefore it will remain a small little northern paradise.
